It's an event where a large-scale artwork is created in real time, in front of a live audience, using Japanese sumi ink. The work takes shape on a large sheet of paper on the floor, so you can watch it grow from above or from your seat.
For about 25 minutes, the room becomes a quiet sanctuary — a blend of visual art, sound and stillness that invites you to step out of the everyday and into a shared, present moment.
It's a Japanese idea that translates as "one time, one meeting." Every moment, and every person we meet, is unrepeatable — even the same people in the same room tomorrow would be a different moment. The performance turns that philosophy into something you can feel, calling you back to the now.
The audience settles into a quiet, dimly lit space. As a gentle narration begins, Vit starts to work — the sound of movement on the paper, the dip of the brush, the ink meeting the surface. There's no rushing. Slowly, a large circle — the ring — emerges. A soft voiceover guides the room, not telling you what to think, but inviting you to quieten your mind and simply be present. It ends, as it begins, in stillness.
The circle is the heart of the performance — inspired in part by the Grand Ring of EXPO 2025. A shape with no beginning and no end, it stands for connection, continuity and belonging: a reminder that, for all our individual struggles, none of us is truly alone.
No. It has no connection to any religion or organised philosophy. It's a secular, human experience — a dedicated time to sit down, be quiet, and feel the calm of being fully present, open to everyone whatever they believe.
Not at all. You don't need to know anything about art, painting or Japanese culture. The experience is felt, not analysed. Whoever you are, the invitation is the same: come as you are, sit down, and allow yourself a moment of peace.

Sometimes, yes — for the right project. If you have a space, a size, or an idea in mind, tell me about it and we'll see if it's a fit.
Because restraint is the point. I'd rather you stopped and felt something quiet than stood there reading a hundred colours. There's more on this on my My Art page.
It's case by case — some pieces are mounted on black board, some are best left unframed, and framing can sometimes be arranged. I'll always tell you exactly how a piece is presented before you buy.
Write to me directly — I read and answer everything myself.
